RCMP are looking for a man they believe is armed and dangerous in the Lac La Biche area.
Mounties issued a news release just before noon Saturday stating that 39-year-old Peter Hamlin is believed to be driving a stolen vehicle in the Lac La Biche area.
He was last seen near Plamondon.
The stolen vehicle is described as a yellow Ford F350, with “Amarillo” on the rear passenger side and cheerful faces on the grille.
Anyone who sees Hamlin or the truck should stay away and call 911.
“We understand how situations like this can make a community feel uncomfortable, but rest assured your Alberta RCMP are working tirelessly to locate the suspect,” Mounties said in the release.
“We ask the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity or tips to the Lac La Biche RCMP or Crime Stoppers.”
