The Army and the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) carried out a joint operation yesterday (October 26) and arrested 45 people in connection with theft and robbery incidents in Mohammadpur area of the capital.
Two were arrested for robbery at a mini-superstore and three for robbery, while 40 others were arrested as suspects, according to law enforcement officials.
They were later handed over to the police.

According to locals, robberies and robberies have increased in Mohammadpur in the past few days.
On October 25, a robbery took place at a super store in Basila area of Mohammadpur. The CCTV footage from the super shop showed that the robbers had sharp weapons in their hands. The robbers also attacked a mobile banking store nearby and looted cash.
During yesterday’s joint operation, the main suspect in the robbery, Md Aslam alias Rubel alias Alam, 32 years old, was arrested.
