The next Satisfactory update will be the last for some time, Coffee Stain warns.

Satisfactorily 1.0 was a huge success. The sandbox and production automation game is reaching new heights on Steam, with many more updates on the way. As of this writing, the game averages around 50,000 concurrent players on Valve’s platform alone. Since the release of version 1.0, hotfixes have appeared constantly and quickly, but for a while the situation is changing. Community manager Snatt Treptow says developer Coffee Stain Studios will release update 1.0.0.5 soon, and then delay it until Ficsmas, where even more changes will arrive.

In a new video, Treptow reminds us of two key things from The Spill’s livestream. First, update 1.1 introduces straight pipes, and Coffee Stain is “reviewing” some Satisfactorily DLC. The team is in the brainstorming stage on what sandbox gameThe expansion will look like this, but you will be asked to leave comments about the type of content you would like to see and be happy to pay for in the potential DLC.

As for what’s coming next, Treptow gives us details about Satisfactory 1.0.0.5, which should be released any moment. The team “read visualizations of gaps on buildings when snapping” because while many players said they didn’t like it, even more said they liked it. To please both camps, you’ll be able to toggle this feature on and off in the settings menu.

Hologram placement also receives some performance optimizations. “There was an issue in version 1.0 where if you had a lot of build levels in close proximity, like when you’re building a lot of blueprints, when you’re trying to place new holograms when they’re close to those, the game would essentially crash would have stalled.” This problem has been optimized, but Treptow adds that there is still work to be done on it.

An issue with taming the Lizard Doggo has also been fixed. Before this, if you tamed a lot of lizard dogs on the map, they would prevent other creatures from spawning, but in version 1.0.0.5, other fauna should not randomly disappear.

Multiplayer fixes and community-driven localization updates are also on the way, and Treptow adds that there will be even more in Satisfactory 1.0.0.5. Coffee Stain also doesn’t stop Satisfactory’s patches, but instead Treptow says, “It’s easier if we only have one thing we’re testing instead of constantly rolling out these patches at once.” So expect even more fixes during the Ficsmas 2024 holiday event later this year.

WITH Satisfactory is already breaking its own records with the launch of version 1.0.I’m sure the potential DLC would be very welcome. If the success of fellow game automation Factorio’s Space Age Expansion Apparently people would like something similar for Satisfactory.
