Will Ladd McConkey, DJ Chark be performing tonight? Injury updates on Chargers WR

Los Angeles Chargers Two key members of Justin Herbert’s offense are nursing injuries ahead of the team’s Week 8 game against the New Orleans Saints.

Ladd McConkey and DJ Chark were two of the seven skill position players around Herbert has been battling injuries in the short week since Monday night’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Here’s the latest on the big names.

Ladd McConkey injury update

  • Dealing with a hip injury, McConkey was “questionable” on the final injury report.
  • Saturday Night Coverage from ESPN Adam Schefter said the following: “Chargers WR Ladd McConkey, who is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with a hip injury, is expected to play against the Saints, per source.”

DJ Chark Injury Update

  • The Chargers opened a 21-day window for Chuck to return from IR before Week 7. seems to be struggling with a new injurydifferent from the one for which he ended up in the IR.
  • Chark was also “questionable” on the final injury report and Saturday’s lineup moves he seemed to assume that he would not be activated for the second week in a row.

Injury Summary for Chargers

Let’s hope McConkey isn’t playing as obviously injured as he was last week when he was struggling. The Chargers have already promoted two wide receivers from the practice squad to depth. Much of the work could once again fall to tight end Will Dissly and deep safety like Simi Fehoko.
