Car catches fire early Wednesday morning in South Fargo

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – Faulty wiring to a speaker system may be the cause of a car fire in South Fargo early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 2:45 a.m. on October 30, crews were called to the intersection of 15 St. S and University Dr S for a report of smoke coming from the trunk of a vehicle.

Our reporter at the scene spoke with a witness who said two cars were traveling north on University Dr. when the trunk of the second car caught fire and began filling the back seat with smoke.

Fargo Police and Fargo Fire Department responded to the scene. The fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire within about 10 minutes.
