Perry must stop blaming his voters for his misdeeds | PennLive Letters

During the debate between Scott Perry and Janelle Stelson, Perry continued to blame his voters for his election denial and his role in stopping the certification of a free and fair election on January 6, 2021, saying that his “job as a representative is to be their voice.”

Perry called the election fraudulent, despite being on the same ballot. He continued to spread disinformation six months later, claiming on Fox News that there were “100,000 more votes than there were voters on Election Day.” Fox News itself has said this is incorrect.

I am a voter in Perry’s district and am tired of being blamed for Scott Perry’s fraudulent and possibly illegal actions during the 2020 election. (We still don’t know the story behind why Perry sought a White House pardon House early). I never called Perry to stop the election, and I’m willing to bet no Democrat in his district called his office to do so either.

Perry did not represent myself, nor the 188,308 voters who voted for Joe Biden, when he tried to throw out our votes and install Donald Trump as president. He also did not represent any of his other constituents when he supported the candidate who called for “termination” of the Constitution over the lie that the election was stolen and wanted to “throw out the results of the 2020 presidential election and declare the ‘rightful winner’ or there new elections held.”

Scott Perry, stop blaming us for your misconduct.
