“O God, help me,” she said before giving the Bible to her husband.

He said:

“I swear by this Bible that I love my wife, Mama Angel; I will do anything she wants, including taking her out and buying her whatever she asks for. O God, help me.”

The wife was not impressed by the husband’s oath and asked him to repeat it.

“Sema ukicheat ukufe (Swear if you cheat, you will die),” she said.

She insisted, but the man refused, saying he was not ready to die.
