BELVIDERE, Ill. (WIFR) – Thanks to the quick actions of residents and an on-duty firefighter, one medically bedridden person was saved from a fire in the garage of an apartment building.
Just before 3 p.m., the Belvidere Fire Department responded to the 1700 Chrysler Dr. building where they said there was a full-on garage fire with flames spreading to the second floor of the building.
The department notes that no one was injured, including the rescued person. The cause is under investigation.
