The 2024 Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Committee, through a joint effort between the Republic of Fiji Armed Forces and the Fiji Police Force, held several key engagements, including a visit to the Suva Women’s Correction Center where members of both netball teams took part in presentations from the Fiji Women’s Correction Centre. This was part of the campaign in line with the theme ‘Stronger Together: Building a Drug-Free Nation through Family, Unity and Reconciliation’, continuing the focus on combating drug use in Fiji.
The committee emphasized the importance of family and community in promoting resilience, unity and inclusivity.

The RFMF’s Veiluitaki Framework Lead Self team also led activities to promote self-awareness and self-control.
The scope of the Sukuna Bowl Committee extended to the Pre-Release Center, where volleyball teams from both armed forces participated in self-leadership presentations led by the RFMF.
In addition, teams visited the Nasinu Correction Center, where men aged 18 to 25 were counseled on the consequences of drug use, behavior and the consequences of their choices.
They were encouraged to adopt positive behaviors and set personal goals to improve their lives.
The ongoing mission of the Vodafone Ratu Sukuna Bowl Committee 2024 underlines the importance of a collaborative approach in achieving a drug-free environment for the country’s youth.
Meanwhile, the week-long competition starts next week.
Next week there will be boxing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Cricket is played on Tuesday, korfball on Friday and on Saturday there is touch rugby, rugby league, development and more than 40 rugby and servicewomen’s rugby.
The main match will also be played next Saturday at 3 p.m.
